Peggy Joan Cunningham Kerr passed away June 14, 2011 in Green Cove Springs, Florida. Peggy was born July 27, 1931, in Kansas City, Missouri to Wilbur Perry Pearidge Cunningham and Genevieve Margarite Austin. Peggy attended Mt. Washington grade school and graduated from Kansas City Northeast High School in 1948. On May 27, 1949, she married V. James Kerr, Jr.Peggy was a member of Mt. Washington United Methodist Church, Independence, Missouri, for the first 75 years of her life. She was very active in the Womens Society and Stephens Ministry, served as the Director of Education for several years and she started a pre-school. After moving to Ormond-by-the-Sea, Florida, in 2006, she transferred her membership to Flagler Beach United Methodist Church where she continued to be an active member of the congregation. Peggy worked as a payroll clerk for Sears-Roebuck, Allis Chalmers and at the Towers Retirement Facility in Kansas City. Peggy supported her children in all of their activities: baseball games, football games and swim meets. She served as PTA president and sponsored the Mixer Committee at Van Horn High School.Peggy was a long time member of the Kansas City St. Andrews Society and the KERR Family Association of North America. She worked the KERR Clan tent at Scottish Highland Games in Kansas City, Buffalo, MO and Grandfather Mountain North Carolina. More recently, she was a member of S.H.A.G.S. of Ormond Beach, Florida, serving one term as president.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jim Kerr, her brother, William Bill Cunningham and her son-in-law, Dennis A. Miller.Peggy is survived by her fianc?, Lewis L. Clark; her children: Karen Kerr Miller, Ozark, Missouri, J. Patrick Kerr and his wife, Kim, Ormond Beach, Florida, and Charles P. Kerr, Independence, Missouri. Grandchildren: Cole Miller and his wife, Laurie, Perry Miller Carpenter and her husband Damon; Joshua, Lucas and Michelle Kerr; and Kyle, Emily, Ian and K.C. Kerr. Great grandchildren: Zachary, Olivia, Kayden, Arianna, Logan and Jacob. Also, her former daughter-in-law, Janet Kerr.A service to celebrate Peggys life will be held on Monday, June 20 at Flagler Beach United Methodist Church at 5:00 p.m. A second service will be held at Mt.
