Peggy Ann Plunk, 72 passed away peacefully in her home on February 14, 2024. Peggy was born in Elkton, Virginia on April 8, 1951, to Henry and Hettie Breeden. She was the youngest of ten siblings. On July 28, 1986, Peggy married the love of her life in Camden County Georgia. Together they raised five boys. A longtime resident of Jacksonville, Florida, Peggy along with her husband Gene owned and operated a construction company for many years. When not working, Peggy put her heart into caring for her family. She always enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and showing her love for her family through her cooking. You could always find her relaxing on the back porch while visiting with many family members, friends, and neighbors. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Eugene Plunk (Gene), both of her parents and four siblings. She is survived by her sons; Charles Davis, Michael Plunk (Jeanette), Todd Plunk (Sheila), Duane Plunk, and Tray Davis. 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, her sisters, Doris Knott, Anne Taylor, Alma Jean Sullivan and Geraldine Wyant and one brother, Bernard Breeden; Additionally, many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Per Peggys wishes, the family will have a graveside service on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM in Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Boulevard Jacksonville, FL 32207; where she will be laid to rest and reunited with her husband.
