Peggy Sparks

Peggy Sparks (nee Atchison), 88, of Jacksonville passed away peacefully Saturday, January 21,surrounded by her loving family. Born August 23, 1928, in Quitman, GA, she spent most of her adult lifein Jacksonville. She was employed for many years as a bookkeeper with the Duval County Public SchoolSystem and also ran her own catering business with her best friend Sylvia Harless.Peggy was a devoted mother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a wonderful cook who hosted huge familygatherings centered around many great meals. She loved nothing better than spending time withfamily and friends.She was predeceased by her parents Lila and James Atchison, her son Bennie Swygert, her sister IrisAtchison, her brother James Atchison, and her nephew Bubba Bramlitt. She is survived by her sisterLouise Bowers, her nieces Brenda Commandeur and Sue Bramlitt, her stepson Bob Sparks and his wifeBarbara, and many great nieces and nephews and step grandchildren.A memorial service will be held in her honor Sunday, January 29 at 2:00PM at George H.
