Philip Barry KapustkaAugust 22, 1952 - December 15, 2016Philip Barry Kapustka, 64, of Keystone Heights, Fla., passed away peacefully in his home on December 15, 2016, with his daughter Brenda by his side. Born in Altoona, PA, Berry grew up with his large family and his many Elmhurst "Spit Corner" friends in Norfolk, VA. He was in the first graduating class of Lake Taylor High School before entering the US Air Force, where he served honorably as an Airman First Class until 1974.A self-described "Contrarian" and "Chump Dog Leo," Barry worked as a pipefitter at New Port News Shipyards and later began work in construction and concrete. He moved to Jacksonville in 1988 before settling in Keystone Heights. Barry is survived by his daughter Brenda Johnson, granddaughter Taylor Johnson of Panama City, Fla; son Keith Kapustka and grandson Travis Kapustka, of Panama City, Fla.; sister Cynthia Phillips, Norfolk, VA; brother Steve Kapustka (Trish) of Jacksonville, Fla, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Juanita Kapustka, his brother John Kapustka and his sister Sheila Murphy. A family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
