Phillip Michael "Mike" Guthrie

Mr. Phillip Michael "Mike" Guthrie age 72, of Melrose passed away at his home, Friday, March 17, 2017. He was born in West Palm Beach on January 20, 1945 to the late William and Dorothy (Zinzow) Guthrie and had proudly served in the United States Navy. Prior to retirement, Mike worked as an Advertising Salesman. He was a member of Melrose United Methodist Church and loved to travel, whether it was taking cruises or camping on the Guthrie Camp Ground. Mike was preceded in death by his daughter, Kristine Guthrie and two brothers, William Guthrie and Buddy Guthrie. His survivors are his loving wife of 28 wonderful years, Sharron (Laing); daughter, Heidi Guthrie Field and her daughters, Morgan and Taylor Field of West Palm Beach and a sister, Patricia Philipp of Fernandina Beach. Also left behind are Mikes stepchildren, Cathleen Rose (Manuel), Mark ODonnell (Aprille), Patrick ODonnell (Susan) all of West Palm Beach and Scott ODonnell of Melrose, along with twelve step grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren. A memorial service for Mike will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 29, 2017 in the Melrose United Methodist Church. An additional memorial service will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 12:00 noon at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Palm Springs, FL with a celebration of life reception following.
