Mr. Phillip Phil Hicks Newnham 72, of St. Augustine passed away at the Bailey Family Center for Caring in St. Augustine on March 10, 2011. Mr. Newnham was born in Jacksonville on September 2, 1938 to the late Harry and Pearl (Griffis) Newnham, Sr. and had served in the United States Army. Prior to his retirement he was the Store Keeper for J.E.A. and was a member of the Church of Living Waters in Green Cove Springs. He was also an avid Gator sports fan and enjoyed fishing. He was preceded in death by his daughter Sue Harvey and grandson P.J. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary, stepson, Grady W. Warren III (Bede) of Jacksonville, Sons; Phillip Edward Newnham Sr. (Brenda) of St. Augustine, Jack Leighton Newnham (Tish) of Jacksonville and two grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 11 Oclock in the Church of Living Waters with Mr. Joe Barrie officiating.
