Obituary

Phillip J. Stewart, Jr., born on July 22, 1978, passed away suddenly, on August 9, 2013. Phillip is preceded in death by his grandparents, Dominic and Florence Careri, Marion Stewart, and Charles Stalter. Phillip is survived by his loving parents, Mary and Robert Stalter, and Phill Stewart Sr.. He is also survived by his grandmother, Phyllis Stalter, brothers Michael and Gerald Stewart, and Joshua Stalter, and sisters Jasmine Stewart and Rachael Stalter, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many loving friends. Phillip served in the United States Marine Corps for a brief period of time after achieving his GED certificate. He lived in Palm Harbor for the majority of his life and had recently relocated to Georgia to be with his parents, Mary and Robert. Phillip was a kind-hearted spirited young man who touched the lives of everyone he met with his infectious sense of humor, laughter, joy and love for life, and his eagerness and desire to help those he met along his short journey in life, especially his mom and dad Bob. Phillip enjoyed golfing, roller blading, camping, boating, which he enjoyed doing most of his life with his mom and dad Bob, as well as Rachael and Joshua. Phillip came to know and love the Lord and accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior, and this knowledge is of great comfort to his devastated family. Phillip also deeply loved his family; he was extremely devoted to his mother; he loved his three dogs, Bella, Mallory (who passed away recently) and Tank. Phillip is home with the Lord now; he will no longer suffer the struggles we all endure here on earth and will continue to take care of his loved ones from a greater place. We will miss him the rest of our days here, but are comforted in the knowledge that we will meet him and embrace him again. A celebration of Phillip's life will be held at Berea Baptist Church, 370 Alternate 19 South, Palm Harbor, Florida, on Saturday August 24, 2013, with family visitation at 10:00 am and service to follow at 11:00 am with his favorite Pastor Billy Gotcher. His family invites all of those who loved him to come together for this event. Funeral Home Forest Meadows Funeral Home 725 NW 23rd Avenue Gainsville FL - 32609 US 352-378-2528
