Mrs. Phyllis Elizabeth Huggins, age 67, of Starke, passed away, Thursday, December, 6, 2012 at Shands UF in Gainesville. Mrs. Huggins was born April of 1945 to Claude R. and Edna (McKinney) Prevatt in Gainesville. She had lived in Starke from 1953 until 1962 and returned to the area in 1967. Mrs. Huggins enjoyed fishing and completing one thousand piece jigsaw puzzles. She had been a member of First Christian Church. Mrs. Huggins is survived by her husband of 44 years, Tommy Huggins, 2 sons, Jason Huggins and wife, Holly of Starke and Wade Huggins and wife, Renee of Brooker, her mother, Edna Prevatt, 2 sisters, Barbara Henderson of Ocala and Jackie Williams of Big Pine Key. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Holden Huggins, Garrett Huggins, Bryson Huggins and Mackenzi Huggins. There will be a time of viewing and visitation on Saturday, December 8, 2012 from 10:00 AM until Noon in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel of Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home in Starke. No other services are scheduled.
