Mrs. Phyllis Greer Mossburg, 76 formerly of Melrose passed away at her home Nov. 1, 2010. Phyllis was born in Charlotte, NC on Aug. 22, 1934 to the late James and Nellie Greer. She was a retired Assistant Manager and very skilled seamstress. In 2005 Phyllis had moved to Melrose from Jacksonville and began attending the St. William Catholic Church. Her survivors are her sons: Robert Edward and Linda (Ratz) Thompson of Melrose, Richard Snowden and Donna Thompson of Jacksonville, and Steve Chris Mossburg of Gainesville. She is also survived by her sisters, Nellie Kathleen Greer Gailey of W. VA and Carolyn Elizabeth Greer Melton of Winston Salem, NC, five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Sat. Nov. 13, 2010 at 10 Oclock in the Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel with Father Mike Williams officiating.
