POL HOR3/12/1923 - 10/12/2020On Monday October 12, 2020, Pol Hor - a mother, grandmother & great-grandmother - passed away at the age of 97 years. She was born in Kampong Cham, Cambodia. Pol arrived in America in 1981, after escaping the Khmer Rouge Regime... making Jacksonville, FL her new permanent residence.Pol was a homemaker, who lent a helping hand in raising children of many families and friends. She enjoyed being outdoors and gardening. Pol was a devout Buddhist and was a member of the Wat Khmer Savy Rattanaram Buddhist Temple.Her life's wishes were for all her children to be healthy and happy. She also wished for her grandchildren to be successful and to be able to enjoy a stress-free life.She will be forever remembered by her daughters, Malis her grandchildren Boran, Bory, Sotheavy & Saony and her great-grandchildren Lyla, Joshua, Alina, Leah, Breanne, Emi, Susian & Suzy. She will also be remembered by her extended family, dear friends and those whose lives she touched.Visitation for the family will be held on Monday Ocober 19th, from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.Funeral Ceremonies, including the Monk Chanting & Prayer Ceremonies, will take place in George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., S.; beginning on Friday October 23rd, with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday October 24th, with Funeral ceremonies beginning around 12:30 p.m. Ceremonies will conclude at Evergreen Cemetery Crematory.
