Preturicher L. "Nettie" Norsworthy

Mrs. Preturicher L. "Nettie" Norsworthy age 73, of Starke passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville. She was born in Bradford County on July 13, 1943 to the late Levi and Erma Lee (Raulerson) Sweat. Nettie started out working as a waitress and a cashier before becoming the owner of the Branding Iron restaurant. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, taking walks around her pond, but most of all, Nettie loved to go fishing. She is survived by her four children, Barbara Lindsey of Brooker, Janet Norsworthy of Lake Butler, Lisa Brown and Jessie Eugene Norsworthy both of Hampton. Also left behind is a brother, Leon Sweat of Ocala, ten grandchildren as well as fourteen great grandchildren. Viewing for Mrs. Norsworthy will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2016 in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel from 4-6 p.m. Private services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to St. Josephs Hospital, 3001 W. Doctor M.L.K. Jr, Blvd, Tampa, FL 33607.
