Ralph Cordova III, age 61, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2020 in Jacksonville. He was born June 13, 1958 in New York, New York. Mr. Cordova served his country proudly in the United States Navy and following his retirement from the service, worked for the Florida Department of Health. He enjoyed spending time with his wonderful family.A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday March 19, 2020 in the chapel of George H. Hewell & Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., S. with Fr. Michael J. Larkin officiating. Interment, with Full Military Honors, will follow at 1:00 p.m. in Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday March 18th from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Ralph was preceded in death by his brothers Kenneth & Nicholas Cordova. He is survived by his daughters, Jillian Cordova & Jordan Cordova; a son, Sean Cordova; his mother, Lorelei Cordova; his siblings Debbie Mongiello (husband, Paul), Kevin Cordova, Sharen McAvoy, Donna Cuomo (husband, Michael), Samantha Oferman (husband, Fernando) & Dereck Cordova and by his former wife of 25 years, Mary Miller-Cordova.
