Mr. Ralph Linwood "Lin" Corl age 73, of Keystone Heights passed away at his home, Sunday, September 3, 2017. He was born in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania on September 18, 1943 to the late Ralph and Helen (Wiser) Corl. Mr. Corl had served in the United States Air Force for four years and loved his country dearly. In 2004, he and his wife moved from North Port and made Keystone Heights their home. Following 15 years of employment with Walgreens, Mr. Corl retired as a liquor manager. He attended New Grace Baptist Church in Florahome and enjoyed drag racing, fishing and taking cruises with his wife. Mr. Corl also loved sitting outside watching the birds, and was known for his great sense of humor which he still had up until the end. The Corl family would like to say thank you to the nurses on 4 West at the V.A. Hospital for all the care and compassion they not only showed Mr. Corl but the entire family. Mr. Corl is survived by his wife of 24 years, Valerie (Kerns) Corl of Keystone Heights; two children, Jeff Corl of Plant City and Gina Corl of North Port along with a sister, Charlene Baker of Pitcairn, Pennsylvania. Also left behind are five grandchildren; one great granddaughter and his mother in-law and father in-law, Sandra and Theodore Purcell of Keystone Heights. A memorial service for Mr. Corl will be held at 1:00 p.m. in New Grace Baptist Church in Florahome on Friday, September 15, 2017 with Pastor Jay Baker officiating.
