Mr. Ralph Morrison Smith age 69, of Starke passed away Sunday, January 17, 2010 at E.T. York Hospice Care Center in Gainesville following a brief illness. Mr. Smith was born on March 15, 1940 in Greensboro, North Carolina to the late Morrison and Marthanna Williams Smith and moved to Starke 5 years ago. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and a retired locksmith, and condominium maintenance worker. Survivors are his children: Steven Hacker and Charles Hacker both of Columbus, OH; Carol Seitz of Illinois; sister: Marie Polk of Starke; brother: George Smith of Greensboro, NC; several grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the First United Methodist Church will Pastor Mike Moore officiating. The family will receive friends at the church 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment will be at a later date in Tennessee.
