Mrs. Ramarie Glenn Beam, 89 died September 5, 2015 surrounded by her family and under Hospice care at Park of the Palms in Keystone Heights. She was born September 8, 1925 in Denver, Colorado. She was a graduate of Penn State University, where she met the love of her life William M. "Bill" Beam, a former mayor of Keystone Heights. They moved to Keystone Heights in 1950, and initially resided at the Keystone Inn. Scotty, as she was known by friends, was preceded in death by her parents Jim and Mary Glenn, a brother William Glenn and her husband, Bill. She was a member of the Community Church of Keystone Heights. Left to cherish her memory are her children; daughters, Leslie Gerlach of Largo, Laurie Thrift (Steve) of Lake Geneva; sons, Marshall Beam (Nancy) of Savannah, Georgia and William A. Beam (Cindy) of Tokyo, Japan; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service for Mrs. Beam will follow Sunday services, September 13, 2015 at the Community Church. Interment will be at the Keystone Heights Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Haven Hospice, 6400 St. Johns Ave., Palatka, FL 32177.
