Obituary

Randall Bryant Allen, of High Springs, FL. passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the age of 72. The Madison County native was born on September 20, 1953, to the late Bryant Joshua Allen, Jr and Shirley Dempsey Allen. He grew up in Lee, FL in the St. Regis Paper Company community.

Randy attended school in Madison County, then completed his bachelor's degree in Criminology at Valdosta State University. He and Gail married in 1973, and in 1976 he joined the Florida Highway Patrol where he loved and served the state of Florida for over 25 years. He was a fixed-wing and helicopter pilot for Columbia county and loved piloting even into retirement.

Randy grew up at St. Regis Paper Company and was the best big brother in the world to Nita, Dempsey and Juana. Growing up, Randy attended church with his family at Corinth Baptist Church. After settling in High Springs, he and Gail made First Baptist Church of High Springs home where they along with son Joshua found a church family who loved them through the loss of their sweet Sarah, and all of life's highs and lows since 1986.

Randy was known for his musical talents including playing the piano and singing with Gail, his sisters, cousins, and any lucky church choir. He loved flying & law enforcement, riding his motorcycle, and fishing.

Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Gail Williams Allen; son Joshua Allen (Lake City); and his grandchildren, Ashlynn Allen, Emily Allen, Elizabath Allen and Abbygail Allen; along with siblings Nita Allen Cruce (Jasper), and Dempsey Allen (Jasper). Many nieces, nephews, and cousins will also greatly miss Uncle Randy.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bryant Joshua Allen, Jr and Shirley Dempsey Allen, daughter Sarah Catherine Allen, sister Juana Allen Williams, and sister-in-law Susan Allen.
