Obituary

Randall Nathan Smith Jr., 21, of Gainesville, passed away far too soon on February 14, 2026. Born on July 22, 2004, in Gainesville, he was the beloved son of Susan Sylvester and Randall Nathan Smith Sr.

Randall grew up full of curiosity, energy, and a deep love for life. He graduated from Bradford High School, where he was an active member of the school band throughout middle and high school. Music remained one of his lifelong passions-he loved all genres and was always ready to share a favorite song or discover a new one.

He had a natural talent for working with his hands and a drive to learn new skills. Randall earned his welding certification and had recently obtained his CDL, discovering a true passion for truck driving. He was proud of the path he was building for himself and excited for the open road ahead. Whether he was learning something new, fixing something up, or lending a hand, he had his hands in a little bit of everything.

Randall loved gaming and could often be found immersed in his favorite games, connecting with friends and enjoying the challenge and adventure they brought. He treasured time spent with his beloved girlfriend, Isabella D'Amour, creating memories filled with laughter and love. He also took great pride in working on his blue 2004 Mustang, a project that reflected both his dedication and his personality.

Above all, Randall loved his family. He is survived by his mother, Susan Sylvester; his brother, William Weeks; his sister, Ashley Weeks-Sippos; his grandmother, Maxine Booth; his aunt Stephanie Morales; his girlfriend, Isabella D'Amour; his cousin, Mike Williamson; his cherished nephew, Arthur Liam; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who will forever hold him in their hearts.

He was preceded in death by his father, Randall Nathan Smith Sr.; his grandmother, Connie Williamson; his grandfather, Perry Knight; and grandfather Leonard Booth.

Randall will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his willingness to try new things, his love for music and gaming, and the joy he brought to those around him. Though his time with us was far too short, the impact he made in 21 years will last a lifetime. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Visitation will be held at Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home, 620 E. Nona Street, Starke, FL 32091, on Friday, February 20, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m.  Brother Randall Griffis will be officiating.
