Mrs. Rebecca Ann (Palmer) Kurtz, age 66 of Melrose formerly of Jacksonville died Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at Shands AGH in Gainesville. Born of November 11, 1942 in Wilmington, NC, she was the daughter of the late Edward V. Palmer, Sr. and Geraldine (Cook) Palmer. She graduated Landon High School in 1961 . Later she moved to Keystone Heights and lived in the Melrose area. Mrs. Kurtz was a member of the Fresh Start Fellowship in Keystone Heights. She dedicated herself to volunteering for the church with rummage sales and the LAM ministries. She never met a stranger and was also willing to help anyone in need.She is survived by her Husband: Nathan Kurtz of 46 years of marriage. Two sons; David E. Kurtz along with his wife, Patti Triest Kurtz of Keystone Heights and Kevin Palmer of Jacksonville. Three daughters; Loree Ann Kurtz of Jacksonville, Mary Ashley Kurtz of Melrose and Jennifer Palmer of Jacksonville. Niece and Nephew; Darrin Kurtz and Cyndi Kurtz Murray of Jacksonville. Three Grandchildren; Jacob, Zachary, and Ayden. Two Step Grandchildren; Jody Brooke Pfeiffer of Gainesville and Bonny Diane Ivey of Keystone Heights. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009 at 12 oclock at Fresh Start Fellowship, 7191 SR 21, Keystone Heights, FL with Pastor Steve Conner officiating.
