Griffith, Ressie Lee - of Starke, Florida, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loved ones on October 8, 2019. A Celebration of Life will be held for all family members and friends to share memories of our mom on October 27, 2019, NOON - 5:00 PM, on the farm.Born October 2, 1935, in Miami, Florida, she was the daughter of Ressie Tucker Dowling and Myrtle Dowling. She is survived by her two sons, Donnie Griffith, of Starke, Florida, and Mark Griffith and his wife, Julie Griffith, of Starke, Florida; her daughter, Cindy Snell and her husband, Gylum Snell, of Middleburg, Florida; her grandchildren, Destiny Griffith, of Starke, Florida, Jonathon Snell and his wife, Amy Ahrens, of Middleburg, Florida, and Shannon Snell and her wife, Deanna Snell, of Middleburg, Florida; and three adorable great grandchildren, Della, Adalynn, and Amelia. Ressie devoted her life as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was alternately known as momma, Aunt Ressie, and memaw. Being the mother of a special-needs child, Ressie dedicated a major portion of her life volunteering at Bradford Association for Retarded Citizens and Special Olympics. In her spare time, Ressie absolutely loved dancing. She danced her way right into heaven today."Momma, you have given so much and asked for so little in return. Thank you for being there for us, for teaching us, loving us, forgiving us when we make mistakes, and paving our way. We will always continue to live in your light. We will never take one single breath for granted, still feel small when standing by the ocean, promise to give faith a fighting chance, and above all, when given the chance to sit it out or dance, we will DANCE for YOU!
