Funeral services for Richard Ernest Marjenhoff, Sr.,98, will be held at 10:00a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2022 in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South, with Pastor Harvey Hahn of Glendale Community Church officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Born October 2, 1923, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Marie and Alex Marjenhoff, Sr., Mr. Marjenhoff died Saturday, July 16, 2022 in Jacksonville. He served as a Sergeant in the United States Army during World War II; was a member of Glendale Community Church; was a Boy Scout and Explorer Scout leader with Troop 120 BSA; and was retired Chief Clerk after 37 years service from Fruit Growers Express Railroad. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Marjorie Kathryn Marjenhoff; two sons, Richard E. Marjenhoff, Jr. and Bruce Robert Marjenhoff; a step-son, Warren Stephen Johnson, Sr.; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends, at the funeral home, from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. on Friday, July 22nd..
