Richard Clarence Mcgee

Mr. Richard Clarence McGee, Sr., age 75, of Keystone Heights passed away suddenly at his home Wednesday, October 30, 2019. He was born June 18, 1944, in Syracuse, New York to Clarence and Bernadette McGee. Mr. McGee had been a long time resident of Keystone Heights and retired from Walmart as an assembler. He attended Freedom Baptist Church and enjoyed working and taking care of his yard; he also enjoyed wood working. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a great grandson. His survivors are his wife of over 30 years Sylvia (Stallard) McGee of Keystone Heights; six children Lorraine "Rainey" Varnadoe of Green Cove Springs, Kathy McGee of Jacksonville Beach, Mary Stinson of Alabama, Stephen Varnadoe of Middleburg, Ricky McGee of Keystone Heights and Rebecca McGee of Jacksonville Beach. Also left behind are two sisters Marilyn Wheeler and Kathy Johnson both of Jacksonville along with twelve grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 1, 2019, in the Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jason Stephens officiating.
