Mr. Richard Alfred Pullen of Keystone Heights led an amazing life of 90 years. He was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan to Edward and Marjorie Pullen. After graduating from Belleville High School (MI) he joined the Army Air Corp (now the Air Force) where he served in Japan and the Philippines in WWII. Upon returning to the States, he met the love of his life, Blanche. They moved to Florida where they adopted four children and proceeded to carve out a life people on y dream of.sun, boating, skiing and pool parties with family and friends. He worked for Pan American Airways for 26 years, first in Miami and briefly in New York. He retired to Keystone Heights along with several co-workers where the party and friendships continued. It is no secret that Richard loved to gamble. Whether it was trips to Las Vegas and Biloxi or playing cards with friends at Am-Vets, you could deal him in! Richard was preceded in the by his wife of 59 years, Blanche, his son, Craig Richard and his brother, Charles. He is survived by his three daughters, Taffee Kedgley (David), Laura Fowler (Kurt), and Leslie Pullen (Michael); sisters, Midge Hildinger and Joan Robinson and brother, Edward "Ted" Pullen. Also left behind are seven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Richards home on Friday, August 26, 2016 from 1-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made to Haven Hospice, 745 Blanding Blvd. Orange Park, FL 32065. Interment will be private at Jacksonville National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME, 340 E. WALKER DR.
