Richard Thomas Rannow Sr.Son of the late Otto and Ella Rannow, surviving siblings are Cliff (Jodi) Rannow of Florence, OR and Robert Rannow of Moline, IL. Four children: Terry Hayes, Richard Jr., Tracy, and Robin Rannow. Five grandchildren: Chris (Joy) Hayes, Melanie (Joe) Johnson, Samantha (Matt) Liss, Vashon Rannow, and Alan Rannow. Five great grandchildren: Travis Johnson, Joey and Ella Pearson, Kourtney Rannow, and Holden Rannow.Richard was born in Racine, Wisconsin on February 26, 1929. He served in the U.S. Army Airborne during the Korean war as a Corporal. He retired from CSX Railroad as well as the Duval County School Board. He was a member of the Riverside Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons; Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, and Morocco Temple Shrine for 63 years. Richard passed away on June 28, 2023. Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 5, 2023 from 6pm to 8pm at Hewell and Son Funeral Home 4140 University Blvd. South. Services will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery on Thursday July 6, 2023 at 9am.
