Richard R. Rich answered God's call on June 8, 2026.

Born in Jacksonville, Florida on November 29, 1955, he was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Barbara Rich. He is survived by his sister, Shirley Thompson (Edwin), his niece Angela McDowell and her children: Scott, Charles and Kailey.

Richard retired from UNF as a Maintenance Technician and volunteered at First Baptist Church for over 40 years in the media.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moloney Hewell Funeral Home located at 4140 University Blvd S. Jacksonville, Florida 32216.

There will be a Graveside Service on Friday, June 12, 2026 at 10:00 a.m located at Greenlawn Cemetery 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, Florida 32207.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made in his memory to: The American Cancer Society.
