Richard George Sterzel

STERZEL: Funeral Mass for Richard George Sterzel, 78, who passed away on October 29, 2017, will be held Thursday at 11:00 A.M. in Resurrection Catholic Church, 3383 University Boulevard North, Jacksonville, FL 32277 with Fr. Peter Akin-Otiko officiating. Mr. Sterzel was born in Flushing, New York and was a longtime resident of Jacksonville, Florida. He was an Electrical Engineer by trade and was a hard worker and a great provider for his family. He had a fun loving kind spirit and will be missed dearly. He enjoyed golf and NASCAR, and was an avid Jaguar fan. He was a member of the Catholic faith and had attended Resurrection Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 50 years, Maryann Sterzel and brother Paul Sterzel. Survivors include his loving and dedicated daughter, Suzanne Sterzel Rios and her amazing husband Paul; His much loved and talented Son, Christopher Keith Sterzel whom made him very proud. 2 sweet granddogs, Penelope and Rocky which brought him much joy.
