Funeral services for the late Richard Lee Thomas, 77, who passed away on August 7, 2017, will be held Friday April 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206, with Pastor Mike Sanes officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Thomas was born in Jacksonville, Florida and was a lifelong resident. He was a Commercial Electrician by trade. And a member of the Baptist faith. He loved his family and enjoyed traveling. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years, the late Barbara Ann Thomas, brothers, Gerald M. Thomas and Jerry Thomas; son in law, George C. Parrott Jr.; Survivors include his 2 daughters, Robin D. Parrott and Sherri Mock (Britt); 1 brother, Donald J. Thomas; 5 grandchildren, Tyler Parrott (Devyn), Christopher Welka (Meagen), Ashley M.
