Rita Martha Noa was born on October 8, 1938, in Key West, Fla. to Charles Baby and Frances Bebita Reyes. She and her sister Betty (deceased) attended Key West High School and Rita was a cheerleader. During the weekends she would visit family in Cuba. While in Cuba, she met her husband Miguel Esteban Noa (divorced) at a bus stop, and they fell in love and were married in Cuba. She and Miguel settled in Key West and had two daughters, Mary Ellen Nena (deceased) and Rose Corky. She was a truly wonderful mother who raised her "Girls" to thank the Lord for their daily blessings and to respect everyone. Rita raised her two daughters as a single mother and worked several jobs to support the family. Her full-time job was as a medical office manager, and she was highly respected by the many doctors she worked for. She retired but continued to work in the school system at an elementary school where she enjoyed helping children. Rita loved her church and became a Catholic Eucharistic Minister and taught Sunday School for many years in Gainesville at Holy Faith Catholic Church, and she was also President of The Basilica of St. Mary Star of the Sea in Key West. She leaves behind her daughter Rose and her favorite son-in-law Ruben, four grandchildren, Richard, Anthony, Danielle and Christina, and two great grandchildren Megan and Christopher. A Niece Martha and nephew Joseph and Michael (deceased). She is loved and adored by her family and will always be in our hearts.
