Mrs. Rita Elizabeth Siemer 62 of Keystone Heights passed away Sunday, September 4, 2022, at Shands Hospital unexpectedly. She was born November 6, 1959, in Baltimore, Maryland. Rita was a Desert Storm Veteran with the United States Army then she joined the United States Air Force working as a Heavy equipment Mechanic. After returning home she worked for the State of Florida as a Logistics Specialist Supervisor. Rita volunteered many years with the Keystone Heights Volunteer Department Station 23 where she loved helping others. When she wasnt volunteering she was working as a paramedic for ASI out of Jacksonville until her retirement. Rita enjoyed crocheting, gardening, bird watching, taking care of animals, and especially taking care of and spending time with her grandchildren. Ritas brother James Edward Clark had preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of 16 years Rex Siemer; a son William "Billy" Wiking and his children Steven and Loki; her parents Bruce Clark and Patricia (Smith) Ostrander; a sister Barbara Addare (Gary) and a step-son Ryan Siemer (Sam) and their children Kaitlyn, Audrey, and Renee. Also left behind are extended family members and friends. A Celebration of Life for Rita will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, September 15, 2022, in the Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Mitchell Dubolsky officiating.
