Mr. Robert A. "Bob" Norman age 84, of Keystone Heights passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center in Palatka. He was born in Vanceboro, North Carolina on April 1, 1932 to the late Joseph C. and Sarah (Caton) Norman, and had proudly served in the United State Army. Prior to retirement he worked with the Florida Park Service for over 30 years with a majority of his time at Gold Head Branch State Park. Mr. Norman was a member of Gadara Baptist Church. He loved the mountains and being outdoors whether it was camping or walking through the state parks, and when he wasnt outside he enjoyed watching westerns and playing his guitar. Bobs loving wife of 27 years, Annette (Gill) had preceded him in death in 2013. His survivors are his two daughters; Angela Gardener (Dan) of Oviedo and Kim Rand (Phil) of Ormond Beach; three step sons; Dean Slocumb (Pam) and Dale Slocumb (Alicia) all of Keystone Heights and Harvey Slocumb (Cindy) of Senoia, Georgia. Bob was "Pawpaw" to twelve grandchildren, Stefan, Kasey, Griffin, Michael, Ashley, Lyndsay, Brandon, Miranda, Emilie, Nathan, Kaleb and Thomas along with one great granddaughter, Skarlytte whom he tremendously adored. A memorial service for Bob will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Gadara Baptist Church with Pastor Shawn House officiating.
