Robert David "R. D." Clark Funeral services for Robert David R. D. Clark, 87, will be held at 10:00am Saturday, May 5, 2012 in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South, with Rev. Kevin D. King officiating. Born November 10, 1924 in Live Oak, Florida, Mr. Clark died Wednesday, May 2, 2012 in Jacksonville. He was a retired Route Salesman from Sunbeam Bakery and the retired owner and operator of Basketland Plants and Produce. Mr. Clark was a member of First Baptist Church for over 30 years where he served as a Senor Outreach Leader in the Soncoast Singles Class for 7 years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and was a committed family man. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Jewel Marie Lee Clark; two daughters, Regina Clark Jeanie Tyson (Jerry) and Kim Clark Kaye (Larry); a son, Glen Clark (Stacy), all of Jacksonville; a sister, Merle Koon of Lake City, FL; a brother, Norman Clark (Betty) of Horseshoe, FL; 9 grandchildren, Timothy, Christopher, Benjamin, Tiffany, Haley, Philip, Sarah Grace, Zachary, and Natalie; and a great-granddaughter, Marlin.
