Robert Elvis King

Robert Elvis King 35 of Fort Meade passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 25, 2021. He was born March 26, 1986, in Bartow to James King and Gladys "Lisa" (Sumner) Mendoza. Elvis enjoyed theme parks, listening to music, watching movies and especially being with his family and friends. He is survived by two children Jasmine King and Jeremiah King both of Polk city; his mother and step father Lisa Mendoza (Jose) of Fort Meade, father James King of Lakeland; sisters Cynthia Krystal King of Dayton, Ohio and Robin Nicky King of Fort Meade; half siblings Sabrina Flinton of Polk City, Tyler Jones of Fort Meade and Noah Altland of Winter Haven. Also left behind is his maternal grandmother Lettie Thornton of Fort Meade; nieces, nephews, many aunts, uncles and numerous cousins, extended family members and friends along with his girlfriend Melissa Thompson. Funeral services for Elvis will be held Monday, May 3, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. with the viewing beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Conner officiating.
