Mr. Robert Leon Ferguson, age 94 of Orange Park, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at the Life Care Center in Orange Park following an extended illness. He was born April of 1918 to the late Arville and Edith (Kennedy) Ferguson in Paxton, Indiana. Mr. Ferguson retired from the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Masonic Lodge and enjoyed traveling all over the United States. After retiring from the U.S. Navy, he worked for Electric Boat building submarines. Mr. Ferguson was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Pennie Ferguson and a sister, Eileen Hoke. He is survived by a brother, Howard A. Ferguson and wife, Joan of Texas and a nephew, Richard Hoke and wife, Niki of Indiana. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, March 8, 2013 at Helm-Gallagher Funeral Home in Green Cove Springs. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from Noon until time of services on Friday. hide
