Robert Charles Gaulding, Sr., 92, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully on the evening of October 30, 2021. Robert, known to friends and family as Bob, was born in Jacksonville, Florida, to parents Bennie and Ethel Gaulding. Bob was an honest man and devoted father. Bob lost the love of his life, Barbara Louise Leonard, in 2006, to whom he was married for 57 years.Bob worked for SCM/Glidden Paints for 46 years, holding many positions including regional manager, and retired as Metro Manager. Bob was a great conversationalist who enjoyed fishing and rooting for his beloved University of Florida Gators.Bob is survived by his loving children, Robert Gaulding, Jr., Wayne Gaulding, Russell (Nancy) Gaulding, Carol (Dan) Loadholt, Gary Gaulding, and Kellie Landen (late Mark Landen); nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.A graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 4, at 3:00 pm, in Mandarin Cemetery, 12135 Mandarin Road, Jacksonville, 32223.Memorial contributions may be made in Bobs name to Northeast Florida Community Hospice.
