Robert F. Hancock age 87 of Green Cove Springs

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Fred Hancock Sr, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, who departed this life peacefully on August 3, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on December 5, 1938, in Pelham, Georgia, Robert dedicated his life to serving his community as a Deputy Sheriff with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office. His commitment to law enforcement and public service was a testament to his character, reflecting a deep-seated passion for justice and the well-being of those around him.

Robert resided in Green Cove Springs, Florida, where he embraced the simple joys of life and the warmth of familial bonds. He took immense pride in his family, leaving behind a legacy cherished by his loving granddaughter Savanna Weeks, granddaughter Taylor Weeks, and grandson Jackson Hancock. His heart was further filled with joy by his great-grandchildren, Kyla Weeks, Jamison Saturday, and River Newburn. In addition to his immediate family, Robert is survived by his dear sister, Anitra Williams, who shared in his many memories and life experiences.

As we celebrate the life of this remarkable gentleman, we invite family and friends to gather for a graveside service at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Green Cove Springs, Florida, on August 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM. This ceremony will honor Robert’s life, reflecting on the love and kindness he brought into the world. As we bid him farewell, we remember his steadfast spirit, unwavering devotion, and the profound impact he made on the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.
