Robert 'Bob' John McCallum Jr., 83, of St. Augustine, Florida, passed away on September 10th, 2024 in Jacksonville, Florida.Visitation will be held at Helm-Gallagher Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 18th at 10am. Funeral service will be held at Helm-Gallagher Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 18th at 11am. Interment will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery (4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218) with military honors.Robert J. McCallum was born in St. Augustine, Florida to the late Robert John McCallum Sr. and Cora Cecilia McCallum on September 10th, 1941. He graduated from Terry Parker high school in 1959. He worked as a P-3 Flight Engineer for the US Navy. He was an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed sailing with his wife, fishing and shooting with his son, going to Disney with his family, and all sorts of traveling.Robert John McCallum Jr. is preceded in death by his father, Robert John McCallum Sr, his mother, Cora Cecila McCallum, his wife, Brenda Poag McCallum, and his son, Robert Bruce McCallum. Robert is survived by his sister, Paula Curren, his son, Mason McCallum, his granddaughters, Madison Burell and Kaeley Kellar, and his great grandson, Eli Burell.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your local VFW Post or American Legion.
