Robert "Bob" Jones

Mr. Robert "Bob" Jones age 94, of Keystone Heights passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on November 10, 1921 to the late Charles and Ruth Jones. Mr. Jones was a veteran of the United States Army having served during WWII, and has been a resident of Keystone Heights since 1993. Following his first retirement as a Civil Engineer with Florida Steel he opened his own Civil Engineering Consulting business in Keystone Heights and retired again at the age of 93. Mr. Jones was a member of Fresh Start Fellowship Church in Keystone Heights and was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching football, basketball and playing golf. His son, David Lindley Jones had preceded him in death. Mr. Jones is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 74 years; Margaret and one daughter, Mimi Jones of St. Augustine. He was also "papa" to Katie Mihalik, Adam Kapps, and Pamela Jones Conn. A graveside service for Mr. Jones will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery Monday, October 3, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Steve Conner officiating.
