Robert J. "Bob" Neubaur, 87, Gainesville died in peace at E.T. York, Hospice Care Center, in the presence of his family, on May 7, 2013.Survived by his loving wife, Beatrice "Betty",3 children, Rita (Steve) Garret, Gainesville; Arthur (Suehaven), Montverde; Mary (Richard) Casselberry; sister in law, Monica Clarke, Winter Park; 7 Grandchildren, Scott (Maria) Rachel, Kristen, James, Lauren, Nicole, and Edward.Bob was born in Albany, New York, formerly lived in Houston, and Winter Park before moving to Gainesville, in 1998. Bob was a WWII Navy Veteran. His careers included being an Electrical Engineer, (Rocket Scientist), on the Space Shuttle Program, in which he retired from in 1990. He was a lifelong aspiring writer. His hobbies included; Model Airplane building and flying, rocketry, and woodworking, reading, and the growing of Bromeliad plants.He was past president of the Central Florida and Gainesville Bromeliad Societies, of which he was a member of both for many years.He was loved by many, and liked by all he met.
