On January 15, 2025, the world lost a beloved husband, father, and friend, Robert "Glenn" Polk. Born on August 6, 1940, in Wauchula, Florida. Glenn lived a life rich in experiences and love, departing peacefully due to natural causes at the age of 84.Glenn was a graduate of Hardee County High School, spent 5 years in the Navy, and attended the University of Florida. He spent numerous years building a successful career in the farm equipment industry as a sales representative in mechanized agriculture. His dedication to his work reflected his belief in the importance of agriculture and his commitment to supporting those who fed our communities.Beyond his professional accomplishments, Glenn was a man of great passions. He cherished the early mornings spent fishing and the thrill of hunting in the Florida wilds. Yet, nothing brought him more joy than the time he spent with his family. He was a devoted husband of 64 years to E. Marie Polk, and together they nurtured and raised three wonderful sonsScott Glenn Polk and wife Elise, Jason Lamar Polk and wife Amy, and Randall LeRoy Polk and wife Mindy, whose lives he enriched with love and laughter. He took immense pride in being a grandfather, treasuring each moment spent with his grandchildren: Courtney Moody (Chris), Brett Polk (Janelle), Brian Polk (Ashley), Andrew Polk, Alisha Gray (Adam), Rachel Sweat (Keith), Caleb Polk, Jacob Polk, Bret Polk and great grandchildren; Chase, Callie, Ryan, Riley, Olivia, Emma, Jalon, Brendon, Logan, Kennedy, Kaidence, Konner, Emrie, Eli, Silas.Glenn's legacy will be honored on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at 2:00 pm with a ceremony that will be held in Starke, Florida, at 2300 Temple Ave, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his life, share stories, and remember the profound impact he had on those around him.Glenn was preceded in death by his parents: Marvin L. Polk and Marie A.
