Robert Edward Posey

Mr. Robert Edward "Bob" Posey 80 of Keystone Heights passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020, peacefully with family by his side after a long battle with Alzheimers. He was born July 2, 1940 in Morgantown, West Virginia as an only child to Leslie and Edith (Lynch) Gordon and had served honorably in the United States Navy. Mr. Posey retired in 1997 as a Supervisor for John Harland Check Printers following his 31 years of employment. Robert has resided in Florida since 1965 and just recently made Keystone Heights his home. He loved to fish and motorcycles, but his witty comebacks, love for his family (two and four legged), old cars and almost ridiculous green thumb were unmatched. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a son Travis. He was a loving and dedicated husband of 60 years to his wife Emma (Conrad) Posey; father to Robert Wayne and Jerry Don; grandfather to Melissa, Heather, Brittney, Bridgett, Jonathan, Josh and Jeremy and great grandfather of seven. Funeral services for Mr. Posey will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 6, 2021, in the Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Conner officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Haven Hospice 6400, St. Johns Ave. Palatka, FL 32177.
