Robert M. "Bob" Rains

Mr. Robert M. "Bob" Rains, age 81 of Keystone Heights passed away, Monday, October 2, 2017. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama on March 1, 1936 to the late Henderson and Mildred (Harrison) Rains and had served in the National Guard. Mr. Rains moved to Keystone Heights 14 years ago from St. Augustine where he retired as Lieutenant from the St. Augustine Fire Department following his 30 plus years of dedicated service. He was a member of Keystone United Methodist Church and enjoyed dancing, mullet fishing and watching western shows. Mr. Rains is survived by his wife of 14 years, Ann (Cox) Rains of Keystone Heights; six children, Lynn Youse (Harry), Tom Rains (Cathy), Dawn Williams (Roger), Charles Rains (Susie), Lori Angell and Richard Baker (Barbara); two siblings, Charles Rains and Jan Capo (Donald). Also left behind are grandchildren; Ashley Litton (Andy), Danielle Williams (Brian), Taylor Rains (Brandi Shell), Tiffany Paiva (Matt), Josh Williams, Brittany Williams (Heather Strickland), Shelby Williams, Reese Williams, Stephen Rains, Jon Porter (Summer), Marcus Porter (Emma) Jessica Porter, Kevin Angell and Shelby Baker along with numerous great grandchildren and extended family members. A memorial gathering will take place at Bobs home, Saturday, October 7, 2017 between 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. For directions please call Dawn at (904) 814-6121.
