Robert George Bob Raymond, age 83 of Jacksonville, passed away, Friday, December 20, 2013. Mr. Raymond was born August 1, 1930 in New York, New York to the late William H. and Ethel Lillian (Elliott) Raymond. He was a member of St. Lukes Catholic Church in Middleburg and a graduate of the Class of 1944 from Wappingers Central High School in Wappingers Falls, New York. After serving for 22 years in the U.S. Navy, he retired as an aviation engine mechanic. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Dennis P. Raymond. Bob is survived by his wife of 41 years, Jane E. Raymond, children, Donna M. Goddard, Douglas P. Raymond and wife, Karen, Glenn E. Raymond all of Jacksonville, Quintin E. Raymond and wife, Jennifer of Indiana and Gary R. Raymond and wife, Sandie of Jacksonville. He is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Bobs memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, December 27, 2013 at St. Lukes Catholic Church with Father Andy Blaszkowski officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in Jacksonville National Cemetery. hide
