Robert "Earl" Rhoden age 79 of Hampton, passed away at his home, Wednesday November 19, 2025. He was born February 10, 1946 in Hampton to Leroy and Ella Mae (Lamoree) Rhoden.

Earl, known for his handy and creative spirit, was a skilled carpenter who took immense pride in working with his hands. His craftsmanship was not only his profession but his passion. He built his family home with love and care, a testament to his talent.

He shared this love with his beloved wife, Betty (Harris) Rhoden, who has been his partner and best friend throughout their 40 year journey together.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his siblings, Donna Davie, Gloria Rhoden, William Rhoden, Roy Rhoden, and Irving Rhoden. His memory will be treasured and kept alive by his children, James Rhoden (Sarah), Edward Earl Rhoden (Kandice), and Jennifer Irene Rhoden, who will continue to honor his legacy through their own lives.

His brothers, Raymond and Larry Rhoden, and sister, Shelia Stanley, will miss his guidance and the unbreakable bond of sibling love they shared. Earls's adventurous and loving spirit will also live on through his cherished grandchildren — Dalton, Noah, Joshua, Mason, Evelyn, Pheonix, Archery, Presley, Lucas, and Landon, who knew him affectionately as "Papa."

The Family will have a graveside service at Hope Baptist Church Cemetery on Tuesday November 25, 2025, beginning at 10 AM with Pastor Bobby Epps.
