Robert Colen Richmond

Funeral services for Robert Colen Richmond, 80, will be held at 10:00am Thursday, March 16th, in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South, with Rev. Bob Barton officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery. Born December 1, 1936 in Jacksonville, Florida, to Pennie and Hugh Richmond, Mr. Richmond died Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at his home, in Jacksonville. Mr. Richmond was a retired Staff Sergeant from the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of First Baptist Church; Duval Lodge No. 159, F. the Order of Eastern Star; the Scottish Rite Bodies and the York Rite Bodies. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eleanor Ann Belcher Richmond; two daughters, Jennifer Lynn (Allen) Dawson and Meesha Dawn (Brad) Pennington all of Jacksonville; three sons, Robert Reid "Buddy" Richmond of Lake City, FL, Roger William (Michelle) Richmond and Bobby Christopher Richmond, both of Jacksonville; a sister, Joyce Davis of Jacksonville; 11 grandchildren, Desiree, Parker, Emma, Olivia, Alyson, Taylor, Matthew, Stephanie, Stephen, Emily, and Breanna; 3 great-grandchildren, Kylie, Dylan and Bethanee; and many nieces and nephews.
