Robert Carl Riegler, 90 of Green Cove Springs, formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 31, 2021. Bob is survived by his son Ron and his daughter in law, Cynthia. Affectionately known as "Pepa" by his four beloved grandchildren Matthew, Rebecca, Nicholas, and Kelsey. Also survived by his sister Joanne Pauly and many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his wife Arlene, his sister Mary, and brothers Bill, Ed, Francis "Fritz", Roy and Alan. The fourth oldest son of Elizabeth and Alexander "Frank" Riegler, Bob was born on March 28, 1930 and grew up in Norwood, Ohio. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the 11th Airborne during the Occupation of Japan. He was also a Cincinnati Firefighter and served for over 20 years and retired as an Aerial Truck Operator. An avid table tennis player, Bob was playing regularly until March of last year. He was also an accomplished bowler and golfer and played all of the above in many Senior Olympic events and medaled frequently. He was also a 3rd degree brown belt in Judo. "Pepa" spent his retired years helping with his grandchildren by picking them up from school and ferrying them to various activities. He loved his family and was always quick with help for anyone that needed it.
