Robert Roffe

Robert "Bob" Eugene Roffe 76, passed away peacefully at his home in Keystone Heights, Florida, August 30, 2021, surrounded by family. He was born in Sciotoville, Ohio April 22, 1945. Preceded in death, his parents James C Roffe and Altie Pearl (Hannah) Roffe, brothers William Roffe (Mary), Franklin Roffe, Clifford Roffe (Marie Jose of Texas), and Chester Roffe, survivors are his brother Ellis Roffe (Kay) of North Carolina, Sister Elouise Roffe Fisher (Dean) of Ohio, Sister Evelyn Roffe Poag (Martin) of Florida; several nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends and his sweet cat Dorian. He got his diploma from Minford High School before joining the United States Army serving three years and qualified as a Marksman with rifle and pistol. Bob met Phoebe Anne Madden who was a WAC in the Army and married in 1963, moving to Cleveland, OH upon his discharge from the Army. He worked at Caterpillar Inc before company relocation, then hired on with the U.S. Defense Contract Administration Services Cleveland Region and worked in Iraq as a Quality Inspector. Bob was a Christian and proud veteran; a 50+ year member and High Priest Mason. A member of the V.F.W., F.O.E., DeMolay, American Legion served as a Color Guard, and Sergeant in Ohio National Guard for ten years. He piloted his own Gruman American Tiger plane. Bob loved his western movies. Hunting, fishing, golf, welding, wood working, riding his Harley and gambling were a few of his past times.
