We are sad to announce the death of Robert Blake Rosbaugh, Putnam Hall, FL, who passed away on July 28, 2022 at the age of 89. He left behind his loving wife of 66 years, Elinor Kay Rosbaugh, and three daughters, Carli Ann Damien, Jan Marie Salas, and Marcianne Andrews. Preceding him in death a brother, Don Rosbaugh and sister, Nancy Halverson. Surviving sisters, Barbara Lintelman and Janet Davis. We are devastated by the loss of the brightest light in our lives. He made us laugh, loved a party, friend to all, an avid hunter/fisherman/athlete. Bob grew up in Somerset PA and graduated a 4 letterman from Somerset High. He played football and pole vaulted in the marines and for the University of Miami. After graduation in 1962 he began his teaching career at Rivera Jr. High in Miami.He loved being a husband, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great great grandfather. His joy was not only his 3 daughters, but his thousands of sons as well. From the early 1960s through the 1980s he was the boys physical education teacher at Riviera Jr. High. Wherever he went, invariably, someone would yell "coach" and come over. He called them by their last name, and he always remembered them. He was also a champion archer who passed down his knowledge and expertise to multiple generations.When asked about his Papa Bob, his great grandson, Leon said he liked riding on the 4-wheeler with him.The funeral will be held later at Husband Cemetery in Somerset PA.
