Robert Lee Sams,86, passed away peacefully, August 18, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on October 18, 1937, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to Robert and Bernice Sams. He graduated high school in Knoxville then joined the Air Force right after high school. He served in the United States Air Force. While stationed at Tyndall AFB, he met his wife, Ann, in Panama City, Florida. They were married June 7, 1956. He and Ann raised their family in Jacksonville, Florida from the early 1960s. Bob, was in the automobile industry for over 30 years. Bob loved exotic cars, and he and his sons worked on and rebuilt old cars and motorcycles. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Ann; daughters, Martha Cahill and Debi Brohl; son, preceded in death, Barry Sams and Robert (Bobby) Sams Jr, wife Susie; older sister, Vivian Johnson of Virgina.
