A memorial service for Robert F. Sandlin 86, of Jacksonville, FL will be held on Wednesday, March 13,2024 at 11AM in the South Jacksonville Presbyterian Church with Rev. Adam Andersen officiating.Robert was born on December 15, 1937 in Wilmington, North Carolina to Catherine and Hallie Sandlin.He passed away peacefully on February 14, 2024 in Jacksonville, FL. Robert is survived by his sister Cathy(Glenn) Weyand of Jacksonville, FL, his brother Ben (Valerie) Sandlin of Jacksonville, FL and his belovedcat Trixie. Bob was an accomplished musician and was the organist and Pastor of Music at South Jacksonville Presbyterian Church for 38 years. He graduated from Jacksonville University with a degree in Music and Florida State University with two Masters degrees in Voice and Organ. Bob had many friends in England and would travel there after Christmas each year where he composed many pieces of music that are played today and loved by all. His biggest love came in the form of Cats. Our family loves cats and it became a habit for him to take in cats that needed a good home. Bob will be sorely missed by all of us.
