Tony Sandow

October 11, 1952 — September 7, 2026

Robert Anthony "Tony" Sandow, born on October 11, 1952, in Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2026, in Gainesville, Florida, at the age of 73. Tony lived in Stuart, Florida before moving to Gainesville in 1976. He was a devoted husband to Pamela Sandow, with whom he shared a remarkable 51 years of marriage, and a loving father to Eric Sandow. Tony was a distinguished attorney, practicing in Live Oak and Lake City for almost 50 years while earning the respect of clients and colleagues alike.

Throughout his life, Tony was passionate about traveling and dedicated himself to creating memorable experiences for his family. Together with Pam, they explored over 80 countries and territories, cultivating a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and experiences. Tony enjoyed playing the guitar and sharing his love of music with family and friends. He recently discovered a newfound passion for cooking, where he often experimented with new recipes.

In addition to exotic travel destinations, Tony loved the simple pleasures of life. He and Pam were happy to spend afternoons on their lanai, playing cards and enjoying the serenity of their backyard and the deer that often visited. He shared a unique bond with his son, Eric, as they spent countless hours watching football and soccer together.

Robert is survived by his brother Michael Sandow, sisters Stephanie Ricker and Jennifer LaFontaine, and nieces and nephews; Laurie, Lisa, Jillian, Siera, Tasha, Dylan, Devon, Andrea, Rebecca and Christopher. Tony's warmth, generosity, adventurous spirit, and dedication to family and friends will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. His life is a testament to the importance of love, music, and shared experiences, and he leaves behind a legacy that will endure in the hearts of his family and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his father, Bernard Sandow, mother Iva Mae Sandow, brother Richard Sandow and nephew Steven Ricker.
