ThienMr. Robert Vincent Thien,84 died at Acosta-Rua Care Center in Jacksonville on Nov. 22, 2008. Mr. Thien was born on March 10, 1924 in Jacksonville, Fl, and served in the United States Navy. Mr. Thien was also a member of the Jacksonville Moose Lodge and was a retired Parks and Recreational Supervisor for the City of Jacksonville for over 40 years. Four years ago Mr. Thien moved to Keystone Heights and attended the Lake Hill Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughter Debra Bertie of Keystone Heights and one sister, Ellen Booth of Jacksonville, 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Thien will be Monday, November 24, 2008 from 6 8 at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at 2 oclock with Pastor Jim Snell officiating. Burial will be at Keystone Heights Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made to the North East Florida Community Hospice,4266 Sunbeam Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32257.
